Frequently asked questions

The Hyde Park circuit begins and ends at the British Heart Foundation tent.

Hyde Park is easily accessible by Tube, bus, taxi, bicycle, and on foot. The nearest Tube station is Lancaster Gate on the Central Line. The BHF Tent is a 10 minute walk from the station.

There is a car park nearby in the park:  Hyde Park car park.  There is also parking on West Carriage Drive.

Public toilet facilities are available within Hyde Park.  The closest to the BHF Tent is located at the Italian Gardens:  public toilets.

There are also toilets located at several cafes in the more immediate vicinity.

You will be able to leave items at the BHF Tent, which will be staffed. However, storage is entirely at your own risk. I recommend avoiding bringing valuables if possible.

Water and a light snack will be available. Hyde Park also has several nearby cafés and kiosks where food and drinks can be purchased before or after the run.

Please aim to arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled segment. This allows time to check in, meet fellow runners, and settle in before starting.

The Hyde Park circuit is four miles.

Definitely! If you are running sequential segments, then you might consider supplements that will assist in your recovery between the segments.

All Maida Vale runs begin outside the Grantully Gate entrance to Paddington Recreation Ground:  Grantully Gate.

I will be running at a roughly 8.5-9 mins/mile pace. My first mile is generally slow while my heart warms up. Over the course of the three days, I expect my pace will gradually diminish.

Everyone is free to run at their own pace. We will have route maps available in case runners get separated.

Not at all. Runners of all abilities are welcome.

The event will go ahead in most weather conditions unless conditions are considered unsafe.
